Grease the bearing using SKF general purpose bearing grease. Grease the lift thread above and below the bolts too.
Check that the cutters, cutter shafts and drum are not excessively worn before installing
Check drum enclosure is clear of any build ups, and the cutter head is secure and free to rotate with no obstructions.
Check the belt is correctly tensioned and free from damage. Remove the belt guard using a 12mm socket. For the correct tension, the belt should have 13mm free play.
