Trelawny visit $22.5 billion Riyadh Metro Project
May 09, 2017
As part of our on-going commitment to customers Trelawny Export Sales Manager Bob Gray has recently been on a regional trip to the Middle East visiting our distributors in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Trelawny put a strong emphasis on regular market visits to support our distributors with regular training and customer visits. Keeping regular face to face contact is key to building and maintaining relationships with our distributors and end users.
Trelawny’s Saudi Arabian distributor AEMCO LLC are busy promoting the Trelawny range to one of the country’s Mega projects, the Riyadh Metro.
The project worth $22.5 billion will see the capital city of Riyadh's first metro system installed covering 110 miles with 6 rail lines and 85 stations. Construction on the project began in 2014 and it is set to be the world’s largest turnkey metro project. The city of Riyadh should see the grand opening of all the lines by early 2019 with 48% of the construction announced complete back in January 2017.
Trelawny supported AEMCO with a demonstration of our TFP floor scarifiers and TPG Floor grinders at one of the new train depots that will serve the metro network when it opens in early 2019. The requirement to level and prepare the concrete floors for application of coatings was a great success with the contractor being impressed with the high productivity and dustless operation of Trelawny’s equipment. All Articles
