Trelawny participate in Guinness World Record attempt in aid of charity!
January 30, 2017
On Saturday 28th January 2017 the ‘Trelawny Tools’ attempted to break a Guinness World Record; participating in the largest sports quiz ever held! Des Reynolds, founder of DesLovesSport, endeavored to break this world record in an attempt to raise money for two very special charities - Jack’s Rainbow and Myton Hospice.
The event was well organized and executed, and delivered exactly what was promised - fun and excitement for all!
Unfortunately the world record was not broken however with a little help from sporting celebrities, including Phil Tufnell, as well as fantastic prizes and an auction that featured items such as a signed Manchester United football, much needed funds were raised for the two fantastic charities.
The ‘Trelawny Tools’ scored 69 points placing them in 17th place out of 70+ teams! This was hardly surprising as one of the top ranking teams had players who had recently appeared on the popular BBC2 quiz show, Eggheads!
Trelawny would like to congratulate Des on all of his hard work and success. We hope to see another fantastic event like this in the near future.
